Nathan immediately faces his first foe after leaving his group. He immediately compares the entire game to Pokemon. So I had some fun drawing the panning backgrounds and a tall-grass circle. In panel three we see the arrow hit Nathan in the eye and to no affect. This was more or less based on a DeviantArt post I found of a very useful character in one of the FIRE EMBLEM games. In short, an archer shot an arrow, it bounced off of his eye, and the next panel is the character's horse being thrown at the archer. (laugh)

For those who don't know, some RPGs, the higher the defense stat, the higher the roll needs to be to hit the monster/player. "PPPPHHT I don't need stealth, speed, or intelligence if I can kill them in one hit!"
